[via press release from CBS]

ON THE SAME NIGHT AS THE SERIES FINALE OF "EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND," RAY ROMANO VISITS THE "LATE SHOW with DAVID LETTERMAN," MONDAY, MAY 16 ON THE CBS TELEVISION NETWORK

"Everybody Loves Raymond" star Ray Romano visits the LATE SHOW with DAVID LETTERMAN, Monday, May 16 (11:35 PM-12:37 AM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, the same night that the Emmy Award-winning comedy ends its nine-year run on the CBS Television Network.

Romano comes full circle, in a way, with his Monday appearance on the LATE SHOW, the place where "Raymond" all started. Romano was first discovered by Worldwide Pants Incorporated, Letterman's production company, during a standup comedy routine he performed on the LATE SHOW in 1995, and was later signed to a comedy series development deal with them. In 1996, the pilot for "Everybody Loves Raymond" was picked up by CBS and, on Sept. 13, 1996, "Everybody Loves Raymond" premiered on the CBS Television Network.

With 210 episodes and 12 Emmy Awards, "Everybody Loves Raymond" ends its nine-year run on the Network as the #1 most watched comedy of the 2004-05 season. The series finale of "Everybody Loves Raymond" will be broadcast that evening, Monday, May 16 (9:00-9:30 PM, ET/PT) on CBS, and will also be preceded by a one-hour retrospective, "Everybody Loves Raymond: The Last Laugh" (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT).

Also on the LATE SHOW Monday, Grammy Award-winning music group, The Dave Matthews Band, will perform a cut from their new album, "Stand Up."

The LATE SHOW with DAVID LETTERMAN is a production of Worldwide Pants Incorporated. Maria Pope, Barbara Gaines, Rob Burnett and Jude Brennan are the executive producers.
