Sarah Silverman Inks Pilot Deal With COMEDY CENTRAL

--------

Pilot For "Day-In-The-Life" Sketch/Variety Series To Be Shot In Late Summer

--------

NEW YORK, May 13, 2005 -- Acclaimed comedian Sarah Silverman is bringing her titillating point of view to a sketch/variety pilot for the all-comedy channel, it was announced today by Lauren Corrao, senior vice president, original programming & head of development, COMEDY CENTRAL. The network plans to shoot the pilot sometime in late summer.

Created by Silverman, Dan Harmon and Rob Schrab, the pilot will star Silverman who will portray a detached and eccentric woman with no discernible goals whose tale will be told through an array of comedic scenes and songs that, taken as a whole, compose a single day of her life.

"Sarah is a tremendous talent with a truly unique outlook on the world around her," said Corrao. "We've been searching for a distinctive female voice that feels right at home with our male-dominated audience on COMEDY CENTRAL."

"I'm really excited to work with my friends at COMEDY CENTRAL," said Silverman. "These are people I've known for a long time, and it will be fun to actually work with them and not just buy weed from them."

Silverman recently completed the film version of her one-woman show "Jesus is Magic" which she performed to sold-out crowds in both New York and Los Angeles. The Los Angeles Times called the stage version of "Jesus" "savagely effective, as ruthlessly provocative as anything since the heyday of Lenny Bruce." Prior to the release of "Jesus," Silverman will be seen in the upcoming June release of the documentary feature "The Aristocrats," along with 100 of the industry's most prominent comedians. She was last seen starring opposite Jack Black, Mike White and Joan Cusack in Paramount Picture's "The School of Rock."

Silverman was first introduced to television audiences during her one-year stint as a writer and featured player on "Saturday Night Live" during the 1993-1994 season and through her numerous appearances on "The Late Show with David Letterman" and "Late Night with Conan O'Brien." Following "SNL" she guest starred on "The Larry Sanders Show," "Seinfeld" and "Mr. Show with Bob and David," among others and also co-starred on the critically-acclaimed FOX comedy "Greg the Bunny" opposite Eugene Levy and in the TV mini-series, "Pilot Season." Astute COMEDY CENTRAL viewers will also recognize Silverman as the voice behind "Hadassah" on the network's phony-call series, "Crank Yankers."

Dan Harmon and Rob Schrab wrote and executive produced the cult pilot "Heat Vision & Jack" for Fox which starred Jack Black, featured the voice of Owen Wilson, and was also executive produced and directed by Ben Stiller. They wrote "Monster House" for Imagemovers which is currently in production with The Discovery Channel and recently executive produced the pilot "Channel 101" for FX. Schrab also created the comic book Scud: The Disposable Assassin.

The series idea was created by Silverman, Harmon and Schrab, who will also write the pilot episode. Silverman, Harmon and Schrab will executive produce. Gary Mann will serve as executive in charge of production for COMEDY CENTRAL.

Silverman is represented by Eric Gold and Julie Darmody at Mosaic Media Group, CAA, and attorneys Cliff Gilbert-Lurie and Wendy Heller from Ziffren Brittenham Branca Fischer Gilbert-Lurie.

COMEDY CENTRAL, the only all-comedy network, currently is seen in more than 87 million homes nationwide. COMEDY CENTRAL is owned by Comedy Partners, a wholly-owned division of MTV Networks. COMEDY CENTRAL is a registered trademark of Comedy Partners. COMEDY CENTRAL's Internet address is http://www.comedycentral.com.
