THE FIVE HOUR COUNTDOWN SERIES LAUNCHES THE "GREAT THINGS" STRAND IN THIRD QUARTER 2005
LOS ANGELES - July 15, 2005 - Bravo's "Great Things About Being"(working title) is a fun, factual, and sometimes facetious examination of different labels found in popular culture. The five one-hour episodes will unfold five "Great Things About Being..." to include "In your 30's," "Blonde," "Gay," "Fat," and "A Red State" while incorporating facts, figures, amusing statistics and classic movie moments and will be colored with commentary from celebrities, comedians and pop culture pundits. The series is slated to air on Bravo in October of 2005. The series will launch a new strand on Bravo. The announcement was made today by Lauren Zalaznick, President, Bravo.
"The premiere of 'Great Things About Being...' launches a new strand on Bravo that will expand to include a broad range of topics linked to the arts and popular culture," said Zalaznick.
There are several "Great Things" that viewers might discover after watching the humorous series. "Great Things About Being In Your 30's" could include finally being able to run for office, having paid off your college loans, and being old enough to love the 80's. Some "Great Things About Being Fat" might be that you are likely to be hilarious and you're everybody's best friend. And what are a couple of possible "Great Things About Being Gay"? Well, there are the parades and your innate sense of style. "Great Things About Being a Red State" are perhaps that you won, and that you can get your kicks on route 66. Last, there are a few things that could be named as "Great Things About Being Blonde," like you're the perfect homemaker and you always have more fun!
