JOSH MEYERS GOES RETRO AND JOINS THE CAST OF "THAT '70s SHOW" ON FOX
Ashton Kutcher Returns for Four Episodes
Josh Meyers (MADtv) will be a regular and Ashton Kutcher will return for four episodes on THAT '70s SHOW this fall. THAT '70s SHOW airs Wednesdays (8:00-8:30 PM ET/PT) on FOX.
Meyers will portray Randy Pearson, a self-assured guy who happens to be on a lifelong lucky streak that frequently surprises even him. He's a music major at the local community college and Hyde (Danny Masterson) hires him to work at the record store.
With changes in their lives, the gang from Point Place moves onward and upward in the upcoming eighth season of THAT '70s SHOW. While the kids continue to make the sometimes bumpy and often hilarious transition into adulthood, the parents Kitty (Debra Jo Rupp) and Red (Kurtwood Smith) are forced to deal with an empty nest. Donna (Laura Prepon) grows more popular at the radio station and realizes that a long-distance relationship with Eric isn't going to work, so she starts dating again and eventually meets someone who may actually be "the one." Hyde runs a successful record store along with a little help from his friend and slacker employee Leo (Tommy Chong). Meanwhile, Jackie (Mila Kunis) must decide between Hyde and Kelso (Ashton Kutcher), and Fez (Wilmer Valderrama) reveals more about his family and home country as he grows into quite the local lothario.
After graduating from Northwestern University, Meyers began his career with the improv group Boom Chicago and has performed with them in Amsterdam, London and Edinburgh. After moving to Los Angeles, Meyers appeared in a critically acclaimed two-man revue with his comedy partner, Ike Barinholz. In 2002, they joined the cast of FOX's late-night sketch comedy show, MADtv. Meyers' additional television credits include a starring role on the FOX pilot "Peep Show" and a guest-starring role on "Life as We Know It." His feature film credits include roles in "Down," "Shock of Daylight" and "The Morning Swimmers." His older brother is Seth Meyers, a regular on "Saturday Night Live."
THAT '70s SHOW is a Carsey-Werner production created by Bonnie Turner, Terry Turner and Mark Brazill. Marcy Carsey, Tom Werner, Dean Batali, Rob Des Hotel and Mark Hudis are executive producers.
