The World Music Awards are the most televised of all music awards shows. The show is televised in 160 countries, reaching more than a billion viewers worldwide.
Established in 1989, the World Music Awards is the only awards show that honors the bestselling recording artists from every major country around the world. The Awards are given out for record sales only. Sales figures which determine winners are supplied and certified by the IFPI (International Federation of the Phonography Industry), with no voting audience and no voting jury involved. Winners are determined by the record-buying public.
"The 2005 World Music Awards" is a Marcor International Production. Executive producers are Melissa Corken, John Martinotti and Gary Pudney.
