Adult Swim Nears Summer�s End, Ranking #1 Last Week for Total Day Delivery of Adults 18-34, 18-24 among Ad-Supported Cable
Three Telecasts Land in Last Week�s Top 10 Programs of the Week Among Adults 18-34
As the summer television season winds down, Adult Swim again claimed the #1 ranking last week among ad-supported cable for total programming day delivery of adults 18-34, according to Nielsen Media Research. The late-night service also ranked #1 in total day delivery of adults 18-24, men 18-24 and men 18-34 for 21 consecutive weeks. Additionally, three Adult Swim shows charted among the week�s Top 10 telecasts of the week for delivery of adults 18-34: Futurama (#4), Family Guy (#5) and Aqua Teen Hunger Force (#9). Adult Swim also ranked #4 among ad-supported cable networks for delivery of adults 18-49.
Highlights of Adult Swim�s weekly performance include the following:
ADULT SWIM (Monday-Thursday, Saturday-Sunday, 11 p.m.-6 a.m.)
- Adults 18-34 delivery totaled 448,000, with an average 0.7 rating.
- Adults 18-24 delivery totaled 262,000, with an average 0.9 rating.
- Men 18-34 delivery totaled 269,000, with an average 0.8 rating.
- Men 18-24 delivery totaled 176,000, with an average 1.3 rating.
- Adults 18-49 delivery totaled 576,000, with an average 0.4 rating.
Adult Swim (AdultSwim.com), launched on Cartoon Network in 2001, is Turner Broadcasting System, Inc.�s network dedicated to edgy animated comedy and action series, both original and acquired, airing Saturday-Thursday from 11 p.m-6 a.m. (ET, PT).
