25-Week Winning Streak for Adult Swim Among Basic Cable for Young Adults
Scores 15 of Top 50 Programs of the Week for Adults 18-34 on Ad-Supported Basic Cable
Adult Swim led all ad-supported basic cable for the 25th straight week for total day delivery of coveted young adult demos, according to Nielsen Media Research. The late-night service again ranked #1 among ad-supported basic cable with its target adults 18-34 (23 of 25 weeks), adults 18-24, men 18-34 and men 18-24, beating competing networks such as ESPN, Comedy Central, Lifetime, USA, Spike, Nickelodeon and Discovery. Adult Swim also ranked #4 overall among ad-supported cable networks for delivery of adults 18-49.
Highlights of Adult Swim�s performance last week include the following:
ADULT SWIM (Summer 2005, Monday-Thursday, Saturday-Sunday, 11 p.m.-6 a.m.)
- Adults 18-34 delivery totaled 392,000, with an average 0.6 rating.
- Adults 18-24 delivery totaled 216,000, with an average 0.8 rating.
- Men 18-34 delivery totaled 245,000, with an average 0.7 rating.
- Men 18-24 delivery totaled 141,000, with an average 1.0 rating.
- Adults 18-49 delivery totaled 525,000, with an average 0.4 rating.
The late-night home for adult-targeted comedy and action-anim� animation also charted 15 of the top 50 telecasts of the week among adults 18-34�Futurama (#10, #14, #16, #24, #47-tie), Family Guy (#15, #17, #26, #27, #31), Robot Chicken (#23, #29), Aqua Teen Hunger Force (#42, #47-tie) and Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law (#47-tie).
