Adult Swim Also Ranks #4 Among Ad-Supported Basic Cable Networks for Delivery of Adults 18-49
With 26 weeks of back-to-back victories among most of its target young adult demos, Adult Swim officially ranked #1 in Third Quarter total day delivery of adults 18-34 and 18-24, and men 18-34 and 18-24 among all ad-supported basic cable, according to Nielsen Media Research. The performance earned another round of basic cable records: best-ever Third Quarter delivery among adults 18-34 and men 18-34, and best-ever adults 18-24 and men 18-24 delivery for any quarter. In addition to these achievements, the late-night service also earned the #4 ranking among all basic cable networks for quarterly delivery of adults 18-49.
Highlights of Adult Swim�s quarterly performance include the following:
ADULT SWIM (Monday-Thursday, Saturday-Sunday, 11 p.m.-6 a.m.)
- Adults 18-34 delivery totaled 408,000�a new Third Quarter record�and a 0.6 rating
- Adults 18-24 delivery totaled 236,000�a new Third Quarter record�and a 0.8 rating
- Men 18-34 delivery totaled 252,000�a new quarterly record�and a 0.8 rating
- Men 18-24 delivery totaled 153,000�a new quarterly record�and a 1.1 rating
- Adults 18-49 delivery totaled 539,000, with a 0.4 rating
On an individual programming basis, Adult Swim scored four of the top 50 programs with adults 18-34 for the quarter among ad-supported basic cable�three presentations of Family Guy and a single telecast of Futurama, all at 11:30 p.m. Additionally, the service scored seven of the top 50 programs for the quarter with men 18-34, again all presentations of Family Guy and Futurama.
