'Kill Reality's' Notorious Cast Members Make the Leap from Television Reality
Stars to Movie Actors in the Fishbowl Films Production 'The Scorned'
LOS ANGELES, Oct. 10 -- Each week "Kill Reality" fans have
witnessed all the drama, the back-stage rivalries and destined hook-ups in
this television meta-reality series that put these reality personalities in
the same house as they auditioned, rehearsed and made a supernatural thriller.
Now the film that heralds, "Hell hath no fury like a dead woman scorned,"
comes to E! Entertainment Television when "The Scorned" makes its debut on the
ultimate night for a scare, Halloween, Monday, October 31, from 9:00-11:00PM
ET/PT. Leading into the two-hour film, the final one-hour episode from the
"Kill Reality" series will air at 8:00PM ET/PT.
With this unique ensemble cast, each actor brings their characters to life
and demonstrates they can put their personal reality survival skills to use as
they strut their stuff on the big screen in "The Scorned." Never before have
viewers seen their favorite reality stars take on such emotionally draining
obstacles and twists of morality in this suspenseful supernatural thriller,
where not everyone makes it out alive.
Bob Guiney plays Matt, a charismatic ladies' man caught in a dangerous
love triangle with fellow "Bachelor" alum Trish Schneider (Raina) and her best
gal pal sexy vixen Trishelle Cannatella (Nichola). Steven Hill (Oliver) and
Jenna Lewis (Kirsten) play former scorned lovers who still have plenty of
chemistry. Jonny Fairplay is prankster DQ, Ethan Zohn is Murray, a deranged
stalker with a secret and Toni Ferrari is the wise cracking detective
Kozlowski. Reichen Lehmkuhl and Tonya Cooley play Seth and Jennifer, a feisty
couple who spend most of their time between the sheets. An A-list set of
reality stars round off the cast with an unforgettable string of cameo
appearances.
In "The Scorned" a betrayal of fidelity unleashes an avenging angel of
death that lies waiting and dormant in an abandoned Malibu beach house.
Months later, a diverse group of struggling 20-something friends move into
this house and awaken the apparition. They quickly find themselves caught in
a ghostly nightmare. One by one as temptation seduces the housemates into
betraying their romantic relationships they are punished by this wraith from
hell. "The Scorned" takes its viewers on a salacious terror ridden joy ride
while paying subtle reality TV homages. It is a perfect blend of thriller,
suspense, humor and wit.
"The series 'Kill Reality' caught on because fans enjoyed seeing their
favorite reality stars up to their usual antics but were also surprised at the
level of commitment they had to their movie roles," said Lisa Berger, Senior
Vice President, Programming Development, E! Networks. Adding, "All of the
actors did an amazing job transcending their day jobs as rebellious reality
personalities to work hard as a group with enthusiasm and dedication. I think
their fans (and new ones too) will find 'The Scorned' to be a great horror
movie with a mischievous touch of humor."
"I think the reality stars' performances in this genre-breaking film will
prove to the skeptics that their first 15-minutes was just the beginning,"
said executive producer Scott Zakarin, Fishbowl Films.
