KNOTS LANDING REUNION: TOGETHER AGAIN, a new entertainment special that reunites original cast members Michele Lee, Donna Mills, Joan Van Ark, William Devane, Kevin Dobson and Ted Shackelford at the infamous cul-de-sac to celebrate and reminisce about the days they spent on the long-running series, to be broadcast Friday, Dec. 2 (9:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Alec Baldwin, Lisa Hartman-Black, Don Murray, Michelle Phillips and Nicollette Sheridan also return. Julie Harris makes a special appearance.

"Knots Landing," which aired from 1979-80 through the 1992-93 season, is television's third longest-running one-hour primetime drama (tied with "Dallas" and "Bonanza").

The groundbreaking series, "Knots Landing," followed the domestic adventures, misdeeds and everyday interactions of five families living on a cul-de-sac in a small California community. The core cast of characters were: Karen Cooper Fairgate MacKenzie (Michele Lee), Abby Fairgate Cunningham Ewing Sumner (Donna Mills), Valene Clements Ewing Ewing Gibson Waleska (Joan Van Ark), Gregory Sumner (William Devane), Marion Patrick "Mack" MacKenzie (Kevin Dobson) and Garrison Arthur "Gary" Ewing" (Ted Shackelford). Alec Baldwin played Joshua Rush, Lisa Hartman-Black played Ciji Dunne and Cathy Geary Rush, Michelle Phillips played Anne W. Matheson Sumner and Nicollette Sheridan played Paige Matheson.

Michele Lee was nominated for an Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her role as Karen MacKenzie in the long-running series. She appeared in all 344 episodes that were filmed, setting the American television record for the greatest number of consecutive appearances by a leading actress in an hour-long prime-time dramatic series. She received Tony Award nominations for her appearances in the plays "Seesaw" and "The Tale of the Allergist's Wife." Her other television credits include the movies "Big Dreams and Broken Hearts: The Dottie West Story" and "When No One would Listen," both on the Network, and "Color Me Perfect," for which she won a Christopher Award, "Scandalous Me: The Jacqueline Susann Story," "Dark Victory," "Bud and Lou" and "Neil Simon's Broadway Bound." Her feature film credits include "The Love Bug" and "Along Came Polly."

Donna Mills played Abby Cuningham for nine seasons on the series and returned to play the character in the mini-series "Knots Landing: Back to the Cul-de-Sac" on the Network. Her other television credits include the series "Melrose Place," "The Good Life," "The John Larroquette Show," "High Society," "Dream On," "Twice in a Lifetime" and "Rude Awakenings." Her television movie credits include "Dangerous Intentions," on the Network, and "Moonlight Becomes You," "Look What's Happened to Rosemary's Baby," "Curse of the Black Widow," "Alice in Wonderland," "He's Not Your Son" and the mini-series "Bare Essence," "False Arrest" and "Remember."

Joan Van Ark played Valene Ewing for a combination of 15 seasons on "Knots Landing" and "Dallas." She was recently seen on the daytime drama "The Young and The Restless," on the Network. Her theatrical credits include the Broadway productions of "Barefoot in the Park," "The School for Wives," for which she won a Tony Award nomination, and "The Rules of the Game." Her additional television credits include the series "Santo Bugito," "Spider Woman," "Temperatures Rising" and "We've Got Each Other," as well as "The Nanny," "Touched By An Angel" and "Cybill," all on the Network. Her feature film credits include "Net Games" and "The Icemaker."

William Devane appeared on the series for 10 seasons. His other television credits include the mini-series "Knots Landing: Back to the Cul-de-Sac," on the Network, the television movies "Deceit," "A Christmas Visitor," "The X-Files: The Truth," "The Man Who Used To Be Me," "The Absolute Truth" and "Forgotten Sins," and the series "Turks" and "The Monroes." His feature film credits include "The Wind Effect," "Space Cowboys," "Poor White Trash" and "Payback."

Kevin Dobson appeared on the series for 11 seasons. His other television credits include the mini-series "Knots Landing: Back to the Cul-de-Sac," on the Network, the movies "She's No Angel," "The Haunted Heart," "Nobody Lives Forever," "If Someone Had Known," "The Conviction of Kitty Dodds," "A House of Secrets and Lies" and the series "One Life to Live," "F/S: The Series" and "Shannon."

Ted Shackelford played the character Gary Ewing on the series for its entire 14 season run and also played the character on the series "Dallas" for three seasons. His other television credits include the mini-series "Knots Landing: Back to the Cul-de-Sac," on the Network, the television movies "Cave In," "Miracle Dogs," "Stolen Women, Captured Hearts," "Sweet Temptation," "The Spider and the Fly," "Harvest for the Heart" and "Dying to Remember," and the series "Space Precinct" and "Another World."

Lisa Hartman-Black appeared on the series for a total of four seasons and played two characters: Ciji Dunne and Cathy Geary Rush. Her television credits include the mini-series "Knots Landing: Back to the Cul-de-Sac," on the Network, the television movies "Still Holding On: The Legend of Cadillac Jack," also on the Network, "Back to You and Me," "Out of Nowhere," "Dazzle," "Someone Else's Child," "Search for Grace" and "Without a Kiss Goodbye," and the series "2000 Malibu Road" and "High Performance."

Alec Baldwin appeared on the series for one season. His other television credits include the television movies "Dreams and Giants," "Second Nature," "Path to War" and the mini-series "Nuremberg." His extensive feature film credits include "Elizabethtown," "Along Came Polly," "The Cat in the Hat," "The Cooler," "Pearl Harbor," "The Devil and Daniel Webster," "Notting Hill," "The Confession," "Ghosts of Mississippi," "Glengarry Glen Ross," "Prelude to a Kill," "The Hunt for Red October," "Talk Radio" and "Working Girl."

Don Murray appeared on the series for two seasons. His other television credits include the movies "Mr. Headmistress," "Hearts Adrift," "Montana Crossroads," "My Dad Can't Be Crazy� Can He?," "Mistress" and "The Stepford Children," and the series "Sons and Daughters" and "A Brand New Life." His feature film credits include "Island Prey," "Ghosts Can't Do It," "Made in Heaven," "Scorpion" and "Peggy Sue Got Married."

Nicollette Sheridan appeared on the series for six seasons. She currently stars in the series "Desperate Housewives." Her other television credits include the mini-series "Knots Landing: Back to the Cul-de-Sac," on the Network, and the television movies "Deadly Betrayal," "Haven't We Met Before?," "The Spiral Staircase," "Dead Husbands," "Murder in My Mind," "The People Next Door," "Silver Strand" and "Shadows of Desire." Her feature film credits include "Lost Treasure," "Beverly Hills Ninja," "Spy Hard" and "Noises Off."

Julie Harris played Lilimae Clements on the series for six seasons. Her other television credits include the "Hallmark Hall of Fame" presentation "Ellen Foster," on the Network, and the mini-series "Scarlett" and "When Love Kills: The Seduction of John Hearn," also on the Network, and the movies "The Christmas Tree," "Secrets," "Little Surprises," "Lucifer's Child" and "Single Women Married Men." Her feature film credits include "The First of May," "Bad Manners," "Carried Away," "The Dark Half," "Gorillas in the Mist: The Story of Dian Fossey," "The Bell Jar," "Voyage of the Damned" and "The Hiding Place."
