The WB Network's November sweep got off to a rip-roaring start as its bold scheduling of signature series SMALLVILLE and EVERWOOD continues to be the feel-good move of the television season. The WB achieved the greatest gains on television compared to the first day of the 2004 November sweep.

SMALLVILLE, as it has this entire season, dominated its time period among young men, with #1 finishes for the sixth time in as many airings this season among men 18-34 (3.2/10) and men 12-34 (3.1/10). SMALLVILLE also placed #1 in male teens (2.7/8), #2 in men 18-49 (2.7/8) and #3 in persons 12-34 (2.7/8).

SMALLVILLE improved its time period in every key demo, including +170% in adults 18-34 (2.7/8), +170% in persons 12-34 (2.7/8), +100% in adults 18-49 (2.4/6) and +94% in total viewers (5.4 million).

EVERWOOD held up its end of the growth equation, also scoring across-the-board, year-to-year time period gains for the first night of the sweep. EVERWOOD gains included +86% in adults 18-34 (1.3/3), +75% in persons 12-34 (1.4/4), +117% in adults 18-49 (1.3/3) and +152% in total viewers (3.6 million).

The outstanding Thursday performance added up to great gains to begin the sweep for The WB. Compared to the opening of the November 2004 sweep, The WB is up triple digit percentage growth in all 18-34, 12-34 and 18-49 demos, including +122% in adults 18-34 (2.0/6), +122% in persons 12-34 (2.0/6) and +100% in adults 18-49 (1.8/5) as well as 114% in total viewers (4.5 million)
