NBC UNIVERSAL TELEVISION STUDIO SIGNS WRITER-PRODUCER RONALD D. MOORE TO NEW, TWO-YEAR DEVELOPMENT DEAL

BURBANK, Calif. -- December 19, 2005 -- NBC Universal Television Studio has completed a new, two-year overall production deal with writer-producer Ronald D. Moore ("Battlestar Galactica," "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine") to develop various projects for the studio, it was announced today by Angela Bromstad, President, NBC Universal Television Studio.

Moore's new deal will also allow him to continue as one of the show-running executive producers of "Battlestar Galactica" for NBC Universal's SCI FI Channel. The critically acclaimed hit cable series was recently picked-up by the cable channel for a third season. Moore's wide-ranging development plans are expected to include an emphasis on SCI FI programming. Moore is represented by CAA and attorney Shep Rosenman of Katz, Golden and Sullivan.

The NBC pilot "Pen and the Sword" is among one of the two projects currently in development, and Moore will serve as the writer and executive producer of the fantasy drama.

For SCI FI Channel, Moore will take a slight change of pace to executive produce "Warehouse 13," a present-day, science-fiction adventure pilot. Under the supervision of Moore, Brent Mote will serve as the writer for the series.

"NBC Universal has been an incredibly supportive home for the past two years and I'm very happy to be staying," said Moore. "This studio has been that rare place which both encourages creative and provocative ideas, and is also willing to stand behind you when the going gets tough. I'm looking forward to producing another season of GALACTICA as well as continuing to develop the other projects we've been working on and I'm very pleased to continue to call NBC Universal home."

"This is a major coup for us to partner with Ron Moore, whose prolific work is recognized throughout the industry for its wit and creativity," said Bromstad. "It is also important to note that he will continue to work on 'Battlestar Galactica,' which continues to deliver critical acclaim and viewers."

Moore serves as developer, executive producer and writer for the current series incarnation of the critically acclaimed "Battlestar Galactica," which was the #2 Friday series on cable this summer. He also wrote and served as executive producer on the 2003 miniseries that inspired the new series.

In addition, Moore wrote and executive produced the first season of the HBO series "Carnivale" and for the science fiction series "Roswell" (where he was also co-executive producer). He penned many episodes of "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine" (including a stint as co-executive producer), "Star Trek: The Next Generation" and "Star Trek: Voyager" (as co-executive producer)

Moore's other television writing credits include the series "Good vs. Evil." He was consulting producer on the series "Touching Evil."

Moore also scored on the big screen with his story for the film "Mission: Impossible II" and his screenplay for "Star Trek: First Contact."
