NATIONALLY SYNDICATED SHOCK JOCK ASKS FOR AMW VIEWERS' HELP IN SOLVING SIDEKICK'S DEATH ON "AMERICA'S MOST WANTED" SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 25 ON FOX
AMW on Hunt for Two Former Stars Who Disappeared After Charges Filed
This Saturday, John Walsh and AMERICA'S MOST WANTED look at three fallen stars from across the country. "Mancow," a nationally syndicated shock jock, was left speechless when his loveable sidekick, Ray Hoffstatter, was the victim of a hit-and-run. AMW is asking viewers for help in finding the driver of the car that struck Hoffstatter. Also profiled on Saturday's show are Karl Goeke, a comedian accused of sexually molesting a neighbor, and Victor Willis, a member of The Village People who jumped bail after being arrested on multiple charges. AMERICA'S MOST WANTED airs Saturday, Feb. 25 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.
Listeners to the famous "Mancow Morning Madhouse" radio show know Hoffstatter as the lovable character "Cowboy Ray." In November 2005, Ray was the victim of a hit-and-run accident and died from his injuries two months later. Now Mancow and AMERICA'S MOST WANTED team up to investigate this tragic death, hoping that a viewer will be able to provide the missing clues to identify the driver responsible.
AMW will also ask viewers for help in finding Goeke, who performed at The Comedy Store in Los Angeles and claimed to have been a character actor on Comedy Central's "The Man Show." Cops say Goeke's past caught up with him, and he is wanted for molesting his then-11-year-old neighbor. According to authorities, the victim was sexually abused by Goeke and two alleged accomplices.
In July 2005, Willis, best known as "the cop" in the band The Village People, was caught at a traffic stop allegedly holding crack cocaine, a loaded pistol and drug paraphernalia in his convertible Corvette. He pleaded no contest and bailed out on $100,000 to await sentencing. Prosecutors say Willis was already on probation at the time for a 2003 drug conviction. When Willis missed his sentencing hearing on Oct. 20, 2005, a California judge issued a warrant for his arrest.
