New Series My Gym Partner�s a Monkey Quickly Swings to Top Branch on Friday Nights at 9 p.m. with Boys 6-11, 2-11
Two of Cartoon Network�s newest original series�Ben 10 and My Gym Partner�s a Monkey�have quickly topped the kids and boys charts within their respective time periods during their first quarter �06 plays, according to preliminary data from Nielsen Media Research. Since its Jan. 14 launch, Saturday morning anchor Ben 10 (10 a.m.) has quickly risen to be the second most popular program in its time period among kids 6-11 and 2-11, and boys 6-11 and 2-11 on all television, broadcast and cable. The newest Cartoon Network prime time original series, My Gym Partner�s a Monkey (Friday, 9 p.m.), has also consistently ranked as the top series in its time period on ad-supported cable among boys 6-11 and boys 2-11.
Highlights of the two new original series� first quarter �06 delivery and ratings performance include the following:
Ben 10 (Saturday, 10 a.m.) vs. the same time period in First Quarter 2005
- Kids 6-11 delivery (904,000) increased by 17% and ratings (3.7) by 16%
- Kids 2-11 delivery (1,272,000) grew by 9% and ratings (3.2) by 10%
- Boys 6-11 delivery (682,000) and ratings (5.5) both mushroomed by 38%
- Boys 2-11 delivery (906,000) jumped by 27% and ratings (4.4) by 26%
My Gym Partner�s a Monkey (Friday, 9 p.m.) vs. the same time period in First Quarter 2005
- Boys 6-11 delivery (649,000) and ratings (5.2) both improved by 2%
- Boys 2-11 delivery (907,000) grew by 6% and ratings (4.4) by 5%
