STUART TOWNSEND, SETH GREEN AND AMY SMART STAR IN THE ORIGINAL MOVIE BEST MAN, WORST FRIEND PREMIERING SUNDAY, JULY 9TH ON ABC FAMILY

BURBANK, CA (June 5, 2006) Its springtime in London and love is all around. One lucky lady is about to walk down the aisle but has just met her soul-mate at her engagement party at least the best man thinks so. ABC Family will premiere the original movie BEST MAN, WORST FRIEND, Sunday, July 9 (8:00 10:00 PM ET/PT). BEST MAN, WORST FRIEND is a romantic comedy about one mans journey to find his way in life, the woman who steals his heart, and the lengths he will go to convince her that they were meant to be together. The film stars Stuart Townsend (Night Stalker), Seth Green (The Italian Job) and Amy Smart (The Butterfly Effect).

Olly Pickering (Townsend) was a promising young writer who after his first novel lost his way and found himself out of the good graces of the publishing world. Now, stuck at a dead end assistants job, Olly doesnt see a light at the end of the tunnel any time soon. His outlook towards life drastically changes when he meets Sarah (Smart) at a friends engagement party. Unfortunately for him, Sarah turns out to be his friends fiance and his not-so-faithful friend asks Olly to be his best man. With the assistance of his wacky roommate Murray (Green), Olly tries to show Sarah that he is the only one for her. Can Olly woo Sarah away before she says I do, or will he have just enough time to finish his best man speech?

BEST MAN, WORST FRIEND is written by Ed Roe and Stefan Schwartz, as well as directed by Stefan Schwartz. Chris Auty, Simon Franks, Douglas Hansen, Zygi Kamasa, Benjamina Marnik and James D. Stern act as executive producers.
