Total Programming Day Results Also Jump by Strong Double-Digits Across the Board
Fueled by a new summer prime time schedule of all original programming, Cartoon Network�s overall prime time performance last week rose by solid double-digits vs. the network�s previous four-week performance average, according to preliminary data from Nielsen Media Research. The considerable increase in prime time delivery and ratings across all target demos carried over into the network�s total day performance as well, earning even more impressive double-digit growth. Among Cartoon Network�s prime time standouts, the Saturday night action-adventure block TOONAMI (7-11 p.m.) also scored impressive year-to-year delivery and ratings growth among its targeted tweens 9-14 and kids 6-11 demos.
Highlights of Cartoon Network�s delivery and ratings performance include the following:
Cartoon Network Prime Time (Monday-Thursday, 8-10:30 p.m.; Friday-Saturday, 8-11 p.m.; Sunday, 8-10 p.m.) vs. the previous four-week average
- Kids 6-11 delivery (731,000) increased by 14% and ratings (3.0) by 11%
- Kids 2-11 delivery (1,043,000) grew by 10% and ratings (2.6) by 8%
- Tweens 9-14 delivery (535,000) jumped by 12% and ratings (2.2) by 16%
Cartoon Network Total Day (Monday-Thursday, 6 a.m.-10:30 p.m.; Friday, 6 a.m.-6 a.m.; Saturday, 6 a.m.-11 p.m.; Sunday, 6 a.m.-10 p.m.) vs. the previous four-week average
- Kids 6-11 delivery (519,000) expanded by 29% and ratings (2.1) by 24%
- Kids 2-11 delivery (771,000) and ratings (1.9) both rose by 19%
- Tweens 9-14 delivery (371,000) catapulted by 29% and ratings (1.5) by 25%
TOONAMI (Saturday, 7-11 p.m.) vs. the same 2005 time period
- Tweens 9-14 delivery (566,000) advanced by 25% and ratings (2.3) by 28%
- Kids 6-11 delivery (592,000) improved by 27% and ratings (2.4) by 26%
