CBS's Broadcast of "The Tony Awards" Is Up +20% in Viewers and +12% in Adults 25-54 Versus Last Year
CBS's broadcast of the 60TH ANNUAL TONY AWARDS was its most watched awards telecast since 2003 with increases of +20% in viewers and +12% in adults 25-54 versus last year, according to preliminary Nielsen live plus same day affiliate based ratings for Sunday, June 11.
From 8:00-11:00PM, the 60TH ANNUAL TONY AWARDS finished second in households (5.3/09) and viewers (7.79m).
Compared to the TONY AWARDS last year, this year's event was up +18% in households (from 4.5/08), +12% in adults 25-54 (1.9/05 from 1.7/04), even in adults 18-49 (1.4/04) and added +1.29m viewers (from 6.50m, +20%).
This is the best delivery for THE TONY AWARDS since 2003 in households and viewers and best in adults 25-54 since 2004.
