Billy Bush and Nancy O'Dell ("Access Hollywood") to Host
BURBANK -- July 20, 2006 -- NBC will kick off television's biggest night with the "2006 Emmy Red Carpet Special," a live one-hour event hosted by Billy Bush and Nancy O'Dell ("Access Hollywood") on Sunday, August 27 (7-8 p.m. ET). The "58th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards," hosted by Conan O'Brien ("Late Night with Conan O'Brien"), will air immediately following the red carpet special live on NBC from 8-11 p.m. ET.
Broadcasting live from the Shrine Auditorium in downtown Los Angeles, the evening will feature more stars packed into 60 minutes of arrivals than ever before for this year's Emmy telecast. Nominees, presenters and special guests will interact with the red carpet team, which will also include Maria Menounos and Tony Potts ("Access Hollywood"). Special segments will be sprinkled throughout the hour, including a look at past Emmy fashions from the "Access Hollywood" archives.
The "2006 Emmy Red Carpet Special" will be executive produced by Paul Cockerill ("Golden Globes Arrivals") and David Hurwitz ("Fear Factor") from a Room 403
production and Rob Silverstein ("Access Hollywood"). The special will be directed by Bob Levy ("Fox NFL Sunday").
