PART TWO: FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 22 AT 11PM EST/PST
NEW YORK, NY, AUGUST 15 2006 - Television's coolest spies are back for a fourth season of high-tech espionage, intrigue and ardor, when A&E Network's MI-5 returns with a two-part Special, premiering at 11PM EST/PST AND 10PM CST on Friday, September 15 and Friday, September 22, 2006.
Part One: September 15 at 11PM EST/PST / 10PM CST
The new season of MI-5 opens at the funeral of Danny Hunter, the MI-5 member who drew fire during a showdown with terrorists to save his fellow agents. When a deadly bomb explodes in the middle of a London street market, an international terrorist group claims responsibility and then demands that bombs will explode every ten hours until their leader is released from custody. The Grid is turned into a command center, including a team of American agents. The team makes progress, but assassins and snipers get in the way. With a second bomb ticking down, MI-5's Adam Carter manages to gain some inside information.
Part Two: September 22 at 11PM EST/PST / 10PM CST
Adam Carter is able to distract two gunmen who are holding Zaf at a warehouse long enough to break in with a firebomb and save him. Soon enough, one of the gunmen is dead ... and the other is talking. Meanwhile, MI-5 chief Harry Pearce offers his resignation - and American team leader Richard Boyd is exposed as a mole. When Boyd realizes that the team is on to him, he attempts to escape by offering a ride home to a waitress who has needed intelligence. It's a ride that ultimately leads Zaf and Adam to the bomb maker, and Boyd to a surprise ending.
MI-5 stars Peter Firth, Rupert Penry-Jones, Nicola Walker, Olga Sosnokova, Rafa Jeffrey, Anna Chancellor, and Miranda Raison. Delia Fine is executive producer and David Craig is supervising producer for A&E. The series is produced for A&E Network by BBC Worldwide Americas Inc..
