Awards Broadcast Live From Los Angeles' Shrine Auditorium on Sunday, August 27 on NBC

LOS ANGELES -- August 23, 2006 -- Annette Bening, Craig Ferguson, Sean Hayes, Katherine Heigl, Virginia Madsen, Howie Mandel, Megan Mullally and Tom Selleck have been confirmed as presenters for the 58th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards.

The show, hosted by Conan O'Brien ("Late Night with Conan O'Brien"), will broadcast live from Los Angeles' historic Shrine Auditorium, Sunday, August 27 (8:00-11:00 ET Live/ PT tape delayed) on NBC. NBC will kick off television's biggest night with the "2006 Emmy Red Carpet Special," a live one-hour event hosted by Billy Bush and Nancy O'Dell ("Access Hollywood") on Sunday, August 27 (7:00-8:00 p.m. ET / PT tape delayed).

Annette Bening is nominated this year for an Emmy Award for Outstanding Actress in a Miniseries or T.V. Movie for her work on "Mrs. Harris." She received Academy Award nominations for Best Actress in a Leading Role for "American Beauty" and for "Being Julia." She won a Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Comedy for "Being Julia" in 2004.

Craig Ferguson received his first Emmy nomination this year for his work on the "Late, Late Show." Before this, he played Drew Carey's boss "Nigel Wick" on ABC's "The Drew Carey Show" from 1996-2003. His film credits include: "Niagra Motel," "Lenny the Wonder Dog" and "The Big Tease," among others.

Sean Hayes is nominated for an Emmy Award this year for the sixth time in the Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series category. In 2001, he won the Emmy Award in this category for his role as "Jack McFarland" on the hit NBC comedy series "Will & Grace."

Katherine Heigl portrays "Dr. Isobel 'Izzy' Stevens" on ABC's Emmy nominated drama "Grey's Anatomy." Her other television credits include the WB's "Roswell," Hallmark Channel's "Love Comes Softly," TBS' "Evil Never Dies" and "Love's Enduring Promise." Heigl will be seen in the upcoming romantic comedy "Knocked Up."

Virginia Madsen received an Academy Award nomination, as well as a Golden Globe Award nomination, for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role, for her role in "Sideways." Her other film credits include: "Dune," "Electric Dreams" and "Fire with Fire," to name a few.

Before hosting NBC's "Deal or No Deal," Howie Mandel spent six seasons on the Emmy Award winning series "St. Elsewhere." Mandel created, executive produced and wrote the international Emmy Award nominated animated children series "Bobby's World," in which he also provided the voice for the main character, "Bobby."

Megan Mullally is nominated this year for her sixth Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series (she won in 2000) for her role as "Karen Walker," on NBC's "Will & Grace." Mullally has also won three Screen Actors Guild Awards for this role. At the 57th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards, Mullally, in character as "Karen," based on votes from viewers, won the "Emmy Idol" award for singing the Green Acres theme song alongside Donald Trump.

Tom Selleck received an Emmy Award in 1984 for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series and a Golden Globe Award for Best Performance by an Actor in a TV Series Drama in 1985. He also previously had a very successful recurring guest-star role on NBC's popular sitcom "Friends." His film credits include, "Runaway," "Three Men and a Baby," and "Her Alibi," to name a few.

Previously announced presenters include: Stephen Colbert, Patrick Dempsey, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Edie Falco, Tina Fey, James Gandolfini, Dennis Haysbert, Jason Lee, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Felicity Huffman, Heidi Klum, Hugh Laurie, Evangeline Lilly, Eva Longoria, Wentworth Miller, Helen Mirren, Matthew Perry, William Petersen, Jamie Pressley, Ellen Pompeo, Jon Stewart, Kiefer Sutherland, Bradley Whitford, Charlie and Martin Sheen, Candice Bergen, Ray Liotta, Simon Cowell, Jeffrey Tambor, John Lithgow and Bob Newhart.

The 58TH ANNUAL PRIMETIME EMMY AWARDS, is being produced by NBC Universal Television Studio and is presented by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. Jeff Ross and Ken Ehrlich are the executive producers; Renato Basile and Michael B. Seligman are the producers; Danette Herman is the coordinating producer and executive in charge of talent. Louis J. Horvitz will direct.
