Robot Chicken�s 4th Season Premiere Ranks #1 in its Time Period on Basic Cable Among Adults 18-34, 18-24 and Men 18-34, 18-24
Bests 3rd Season Premiere Ratings, Delivery Among All Young Adult Demos from 38% to 67%
Original Series Premiere Helps Propel Adult Swim to #1 Weekly Total Day Delivery of Adults 18-34, 18-24
Adult Swim�s top original series, Robot Chicken, from actor/animator Seth Green, debuted its 4th season on Sunday night (11:30 p.m.) to rank #1 on basic cable in its time period among all target demos�adults 18-34, adults 18-24, men 18-34 and men 18-24�according to preliminary data from Nielsen Media Research. The stop-motion animated series ranked #28 for the week among all ad-supported basic cable programming with adults 18-34 and #19 for the week with men 18-24. Compared to its 3rd season premiere on April 2, 2006, the 4th season opener earned remarkable double-digit ratings and delivery gains among all key demos.
Highlights of Robot Chicken�s 4th season opening performance vs. the 3rd season premiere include the following:
Robot Chicken (Sunday, 11:30 p.m.)
- Adults 18-34 delivery (725,000) increased by 43%, and ratings (1.1) by 38%
- Adults 18-24 delivery (432,000) and ratings (1.5) both expanded by 67%
- Men 18-34 delivery (471,000) advanced by 52%, and ratings (1.4) by 56%
- Men 18-24 delivery (263,000) improved by 65%, and ratings (1.8) by 64%
Buoyed by Robot Chicken�s performance, Adult Swim retained its #1 ranking for total day delivery of adults 18-34, adults 18-24 and men 18-24�the latter for 77 straight weeks. The late-night network also ranked #5 for total day delivery of adults 18-49, and claimed 10 of the top 50 programs of the week among adults 18-34, more than any other basic cable network.
