New Seasons Ahead for 'Brotherhood,' 'Entourage'; 'Lucky' Not So Lucky

LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- HBO is moving forward with a fourth season of "Entourage" while Showtime is giving its struggling freshman drama "Brotherhood" a second season of 10 episodes.

The 12-episode "Entourage" renewal comes on the heels of the show's 36.84% viewership growth from last season (2.6 million vs. 1.9 million). The series returns for the back half of its third season early next year.

Meanwhile, the pay channel has confirmed lead-out "Lucky Louie" will not return for a second go around. The show's final installment on August 27 drew just 1.3 million viewers, barely half of its "Entourage" lead-in (2.5 million).

As for "Brotherhood," said pick-up comes as somewhat of a surprise. Season-to-date the show has averaged just 241,000 total viewers, well short of its July premiere numbers (454,000 viewers). The series wraps its freshman run this Sunday.
