CBS premiered as the most watched network on the first Thursday of the 2006-2007 season led by a strong second episode of SURVIVOR: COOK ISLANDS, which retained nearly all of its premiere week ratings, CSI with 22 million viewers and the series premiere of SHARK, which averaged 15 million viewers making it the most watched new series to date of the season, according to live plus same day Nielsen ratings for Sept. 21.
The second episode of SURVIVOR: COOK ISLANDS won its time slot in households (9.8/16), viewers (17.26m), adults 25-54 (7.5/19), adults 18-49 (6.4/18) and adults 18-34 (4.5/14). Compared to last week, SURVIVOR retained 97% of its household delivery (from 10.1/17), 96% of adults 25-54 (from 7.8/21), 98% in adults 18-49 (from 6.5/20), 100% in adults 18-34 (from 4.5/16) and 96% of viewers (from 18.00m).
Compared to the same night last year, SURVIVOR was up +3% in adults 25-54 (from 7.8/18), +5% in adults 18-49 (from 6.1/11), +2% in adults 18-34 (from 4.4/14) and added +280,000 viewers (from 16.98m, +2%).
SURVIVOR: COOK ISLAND increased its delivery in the second half-hour: +14% in households (10.5/16 from 9.2/15), +21% in both adults 25-54 (8.2/20 from 6.8/18) and adults 18-49 (7.0/18 from 5.8/17), +23% in adults 18-34 (4.9/15 from 4.0/14) and added +2.49m viewers (18.50m from 16.01m, +16%).
The seventh season premiere of CSI was a strong second in households (13.5/20), viewers (22.04m), adults 25-54 (9.3/20) and adults 18-49 (7.5/18).
At 10:00 PM, the series premiere of SHARK was second in households (9.8/16, -0.2 behind NBC), viewers (14.95m), while averaging a 5.7/13 in adults 25-54 and 4.2/11 in adults 18-49.
SHARK ranks as the top new program season to date in viewers.
For the night, CBS was first in viewers (18.08m) and second in adults 25-54 (7.5/18, -0.2 behind ABC) and adults 18-49 (6.0/16).

CBS premiered as the most watched network on the first Thursday of the 2006-2007 season led by a strong second episode of SURVIVOR: COOK ISLANDS which maintained most or all of its premiere week ratings, CSI with 22.6 million viewers and the series premiere of SHARK, which averaged nearly 15 million viewers, making it the most watched new series to date of the season, according to Live Plus Same Day National Nielsen ratings for Sept. 21.
The second episode of SURVIVOR: COOK ISLANDS won its time slot in households (9.8/16), viewers (17.43m), adults 25-54 (7.6/19), adults 18-49 (6.5/18) and adults 18-34 (4.5/14). Compared to last week, SURVIVOR retained 97% of both its household (from 10.1/17) and adults 25-54 deliveries (from 7.8/21), 100% of both its adults 18-49 and adults 18-34 deliveries and 97% of viewers (from 18.00m).
Compared to the same night last year, SURVIVOR was up +4% in adults 25-54 (from 7.8/18), +7% in adults 18-49 (from 6.1/11), +2% in adults 18-34 (from 4.4/14) and added +450,000 viewers (from 16.98m, +3%).
SURVIVOR: COOK ISLAND increased its delivery in the second half-hour: +13% in households (10.4/16 from 9.2/15), +22% in both adults 18-34 (5.0/15 from 4.1/14) and adults 18-49 (7.1/18 from 5.8/17), +20% in adults 25-54 (8.3/20 from 6.9/18) and added +2.47m viewers (18.67m from 16.20m, +15%).
The seventh season premiere of CSI was a strong second in households (13.7/21), viewers (22.58m), adults 25-54 (9.5/21) and adults 18-49 (7.7/18).
The series premiere of SHARK was second in households (9.7/16, -0.3 behind NBC), viewers (14.74m), while averaging a 5.5/13 in adults 25-54 and 4.1/11 in adults 18-49.
SHARK ranks as the top new program season-to-date in viewers.
For the night, CBS was first in viewers (18.29m) and second in adults 25-54 (7.6/18, -0.2 behind ABC) and adults 18-49 (6.1/16).
