CW SCORES SECOND ON FRIDAY WITH "SMACKDOWN" IN TARGET DEMOS OF MEN 18-34 AND 18-49

"SmackDown" Improves Fridays Versus Year Ago on Both UPN and WB
"SmackDown" Builds Week-to-Week in Viewers, Adults 18-49 and Men 18-49
October 2, 2006 (Burbank, CA) - "Friday Night SmackDown" once again gave The CW a second place finish for the night in the target demo of men 18-34 (1.7/8) and men 18-49 (1.8/7-tie), according to Live Plus Same Day National Nielsen ratings for Friday, Sept. 29. "SmackDown" also beat Fox in adults 18-34 (1.4/6), adults 18-49 (1.4/5) and viewers (4.0mil).
Compared to its performance on UPN a year ago (9/30/05), "SmackDown" on The CW improved by 6% in men 18-34, 8% in adults 18-49, 6% in men 18-49 and more than 100,000 viewers. "SmackDown" matched the same night last year in adults 18-34.
"SmackDown" continues to post dramatic increases over the WB's line-up of original comedies on the same night a year ago, with increases of 27% in adults 18-34, 113% in men 18-34, 27% in adults 18-49, 157% in men 18-49 and more than 1.5 million viewers.
"SmackDown" built over its CW premiere last week in viewers (8%), adults 18-49 (8%) and men 18-49 (13%) and matched last week in adults 18-34.
