NBC UNIVERSAL DOMESTIC TELEVISION DISTRIBUTION HAS SOLD HIT DRAMATIC SERIES "HOUSE" IN MORE THAN 80% OF U.S.

Golden Globe Winner and Critically Acclaimed Series To Air On Weekends in National Syndication Starting Fall 2008

UNIVERSAL CITY, CAOct. 4, 2006NBC Universal Domestic Television Distribution has sold hit drama series "House" to local broadcast stations in more than 80% of the country for weekend double runs starting in fall 2008, it was announced today by Sean O'Boyle, Senior Vice President and General Sales Manager, NBC Universal Domestic Television Distribution.

"House" has been sold to stations from some of the nation's leading station groups including Fox, CBS, Tribune, Sinclair and Clear Channel. Stations lined up for "House" in syndication include WNYW-TV New York, KTTV-TV Los Angeles, WFLD-TV Chicago, KPIX-TV San Francisco and WXIN-TV Indianapolis. Deals include double-runs in all markets.

"'House' is a run away hit in primetime and will make the ideal weekend series for local broadcasters across the nation," says O'Boyle. "Procedural dramas such as 'House' are the hottest shows on primetime and consistently make for the top shows in syndication, as well."

"House," which is produced by NBC Universal Television Studio and features an ensemble cast led by Golden Globe Award-winner Hugh Laurie, is off to its strongest start ever this season. Currently in its third season, "House" is #1 in its time period with adults 18-49 and averages more than 15 million viewers per week. "House" is currently Fox's #1 show in households, viewers, Adults 18-34, Adults 18-49 and Adults 25-54.

From executive producers Paul Attanasio, Katie Jacobs, David Shore and Bryan Singer, comes a new take on mystery, where the villain is a medical malady and the hero is an irreverent, controversial doctor who trusts no one, least of all his patients.

Dr. Gregory House (Laurie) is devoid of bedside manner and wouldn't even talk to his patients if he could get away with it. Dealing with his own constant physical pain, he uses a cane that seems to punctuate his acerbic, brutally honest demeanor. While his behavior can border on antisocial, House is a maverick physician whose unconventional thinking and flawless instincts have afforded him a great deal of respect. An infectious disease specialist, he's a brilliant diagnostician who loves the challenges of the medical puzzles he must solve in order to save lives.

House's medical case roster is made up of inexplicable cases other doctors can't solve, and he has assembled an elite team of young medical experts to help him in his effort to solve these diagnostic mysteries.

House's team includes neurologist Dr. Eric Foreman, (Omar Epps, "Against the Ropes," "The Wood"), who might have a slightly suspect past; immunologist Dr. Allison Cameron (Jennifer Morrison); and old-money internist Dr. Robert Chase (Jesse Spencer). House also has a good friend in Dr. James Wilson (Robert Sean Leonard), an oncology specialist with whom he consults on a regular basis.

There's also some volatile chemistry at work between House and Dr. Lisa Cuddy (Lisa Edelstein), the Dean of Medicine and hospital administrator. Cuddy is in constant conflict with House over his duties at the hospital, but even she must admit he is one of the most brilliant doctors on the staff.

With a patient's life in the balance, House will do whatever it takes in the race against the clock to save lives, from sending one of his teams to break into a patient's home in search of clues, to attempting a controversial, high-stakes, trial- and-error form of treatment to see how a patient responds. House's methods may be suspect, but his results are not.

"House" is from Heel and Toe Films and Bad Hat Harry Productions in association with NBC Universal Television Studio. Paul Attanasio, Katie Jacobs, David Shore and Bryan Singer are executive producers.
