LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- CBS has officially given "The Unit" a full season order of 22 episodes while NBC is set to wrap "Kidnapped" after its initial 13-episode run.
The Eye's sophomore drama has performed solidly in its Tuesday, 9:00/8:00c home, building from its "N.C.I.S." lead-in all three weeks this season in the key adults 18-49 demographic.
The news comes just one day after CBS extended fellow second-year series "The New Adventures of Old Christine."
As for "Kidnapped," the Peacock is understood to have asked producer Sony Pictures Television to conclude the show's storyline after 13 episodes rather than wait for a decision on the back nine order.
Production on the series will then be suspended until a final decision is made about the show's fate. The network also insists all produced episodes of the series will air, however hasn't specified if that will be in its current Wednesday, 10:00/9:00c home.
Last night's broadcast finished a distant third place as the show's preliminary 2.0 adults 18-49 rating was less than half of second place "The Nine" on ABC (4.6).
