NEW YORK, October 9, 2006 -- George W. Bush tackles hot button issues such as immigration, the environment, gun control and abortion in his very own sitcom, "That's My Bush!" Released via COMEDY CENTRAL Home Entertainment and Paramount Home Entertainment, "That's My Bush! The Definitive Collection" DVD arrives in stores nationwide on Tuesday, October 24 and will also be available at http://shop.comedycentral.com.
"That's My Bush! The Definitive Collection" DVD is a two disc set featuring all eight episodes with audio commentary from creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone and all of the cast members.
Conceived during the 2000 presidential campaign, COMEDY CENTRAL's "That's My Bush!" launched in April 2001. The series offers a humorous glimpse of life at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue in which George W. Bush (played by Timothy Bottoms) must balance the volatile issues of the day with his equally demanding personal life. The series provides a unique take on one of the most traditional American standards, "the network sitcom."
"[Parker and Stone] have taken offensiveness to some absurd, delirious, hilarious new level. In the process, the sublime and the ridiculous become indistinguishable. 'That's My Bush!' is tasteless, appalling and funny as hell," hails Tom Shales from The Washington Post.
Trey Parker and Matt Stone are co-creators and executive producers of "That's My Bush!" with Anne Garefino as executive producer.
starring in "That's My Bush!" is first lady Laura Bush (Carrie Quinn Dolin), political adviser Karl Rove (Kurt Fuller), sassy housekeeper Maggie (Marcia Wallace), Bush's scheduling assistant, Princess (Kristen Miller) and Bush's nosy neighbor, Larry (John D'Aquino)
