NEW YORK, October 12, 2006 -- COMEDY CENTRAL has partnered with Jon Stewart's Busboy Productions for its first-ever live on-air and on-line special event, "Night Of Too Many Stars: An Overbooked Benefit For Autism Education." The live benefit for autism education programs will feature Stewart hosting an evening filled with live performances, sketches and short films from a roster of comedy all-stars at New York City's Beacon Theater. On Sunday, October 15 at 8:00 p.m., fans can also log-on to comedycentral.com to watch the live simulcast of this benefit and catch exclusive footage. Tickets for the "Night Of Too Many Stars" can be purchased at Ticketmaster. The first two rows will be auctioned off via ticketmaster.com. Guests may also purchase VIP Benefit tickets by emailing nightoftoomanystars@eventassociates.com. All VIP Benefit tickets, which begin at $1,250 per person, include access to the after-party with talent.
Performers raising money to help ease the severe shortage of effective schools and education programs for autistic children and adults, include Jack Black, Steve Carell, Kristin Chenoweth, Sacha Baron Cohen, Stephen Colbert, Elvis Costello, Jimmy Fallon, Will Ferrell, Ricky Gervais, Norm Macdonald, Christopher Meloni, Mike Myers, Bob Odenkirk and David Cross, Amy Poehler, Paul Rudd, Borat Sagdiyev, Adam Sandler, Martin Short, Tony Sirico, Ben Stiller, Triumph the Insult Comic Dog, Brian Williams and more. Moby will lead the House Band for the evening.
For the first time ever, COMEDY CENTRAL will simulcast the show live on comedycentral.com. Viewers can log-on and get exclusive content such as the red carpet, video and a photo gallery.
In addition to the online simulcast, Amp'd Mobile will also simulcast the event live, making "Night Of Too Many Stars" a true triple-cast!
Beginning on Monday, October 17, "Night of Too Many Stars" will be available for download on iTunes for 30 days. All proceeds from the $1.99 download will go directly to the charity.

Night Of Too Many Stars" will benefit the Alpine Learning Group, the New York Center for Autism Charter School and other Autism education programs. The funds raised will support educational facilities that have recently opened or are about to open their doors along with those very well-established model schools that are now developing innovative programs to provide vocational and life skills for adults with autism. Proceeds will also support outreach programs that provide training and consultation to families of very young children in their homes. Additionally, a portion of the proceeds will benefit Autism Speaks, the nation's leading autism advocacy group.
