Submissions Process Begins Mid-October With Stories
To Begin Airing in February 2007
Do you want your story told on TV? Do you know someone who does? Maybe
someone who has a story about how they met their husband or wife? Or a memorable
family holiday celebration?
Starting mid-October, Hallmark Channel will invite viewers to share those and
other personal stories for its newest programming initiative entitled Tell Us Your Story
with the chance to see their story made into an animated short to appear on Hallmark
Channel and online at www.hallmarkchannel.com beginning in February of 2007.
Hallmark Channel is known as the place where great stories come to life. Its a
natural extension of our brand to invite our viewers to share their own wonderful stories
and then have them brought to life on air and online. At the same time, it allows the
network to remain current at a time when viewers are becoming more involved in the
creation of a programmers content, said David Kenin, Executive Vice President,
Programming, Hallmark Channels.
This will be an ongoing campaign that we think will be both engaging and
entertaining, said Marvin Dorson, Senior Vice President, Creative Services, Hallmark
Channels. Its also a great opportunity for us to get to know our audience better and
to enhance our relationship with them.
Hallmark Channel will start airing on-air, call-to-action spots about the Tell Us
Your Story campaign in mid-October. Viewers can also visit www.hallmarkchannel.com
for more information and to submit their stories.
