"SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE" IS NEW IN NOVEMBER

Perennial Favorite Alec Baldwin Returns with Christina Aguilera November 11 Chris "Ludacris" Bridges Joins Elite List of "Double Duty" Hosts and Musical Guests November 18

NEW YORK November 6, 2006 NBC's "Saturday Night Live" brings a roster of proven talent to the two live episodes in November.

On November 11, Oscar and Emmy nominee Alec Baldwin, a perennial and adept host, makes his thirteenth hosting appearance on the show, putting him in the upper echelon of frequent guest hosts behind record-holder Steve Martin with 14 appearances. Other frequent hosts include Christopher Walken, Tom Hanks, Chevy Chase, Buck Henry and John Goodman.

One of Hollywood's most charismatic and prolific actors both on stage and in film Baldwin has made the transition to television comedy in the critically praised NBC comedy series "30 Rock" created by SNL's Tina Fey. He's also earned raves for his standout performances in Martin Scorsese's "The Departed" and "Running with Scissors" and will next be seen in the much-anticipated "The Good Shepherd" directed by Robert DeNiro. His varied credits include his Academy Award nominated role in "The Cooler" opposite William H. Macy and Scorsese's "The Aviator."

Joining Baldwin is one of the most accomplished musical performers of the last decade, Christina Aguilera. Making her fourth appearance on the show (her last time as host), Aguilera will perform from her acclaimed "Back To Basics" record. A modern take on vintage jazz, soul and blues, her double album has already produced the infectious chart-topping single "Ain't No Other Man" and the now-climbing "Hurt." Aguilera has sold over 25 million albums worldwide and has cultivated a fan base that crosses all boundaries be they generational, racial, or gender. She has won three Grammy Awards and a Latin Grammy.

On November 18, SNL continues its long tradition of giving musical artists "double duty" as host and musical guest when Chris "Ludacris" Bridges takes the stage.

Joining the prestigious company of artists including Paul Simon, The Rolling Stones, Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder, Dolly Parton, Garth Brooks, Sting, Jennifer Lopez, Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake and Janet Jackson.

Bridges is having a great year. His latest record "Release Therapy" is certified Platinum after debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard charts and its lead single "Money Maker" has been No. 1 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart for the last month. In addition, earlier this year, Bridges did the Hollywood awards circuit on the strength of his appearances in two acclaimed films "Hustle and Flow" and "Crash," which won 3 Oscars, as well as Best Ensemble Awards at the Screen Actors Guild Awards and Critics Choice Award as well as landing Bridges a nomination for an NAACP Image Award for Best Supporting Actor. He's also appeared in a highly rated episode of NBC's "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" and will soon be seen opposite Vince Vaughn, Paul Giamatti and Rachel Weisz in the comedy "Fred Claus."

"Saturday Night Live," which premiered on October 11, 1975, is from SNL Studios in association with Broadway Video. The creator and executive producer is Lorne Michaels. Steve Higgins produces.
