Comic Special Premieres Wednesday, Dec. 27, at 9 p.m. (ET/PT)

Commercials can be some of the funniest programming on television, and TBS is ready to prove it again with its annual year-end special FUNNIEST COMMERCIALS OF THE YEAR: 2006. This marks the third consecutive year TBS will invite viewers to vote on their favorite television commercials, with the results being presented in the one-hour special hosted by comedian Kevin Nealon (Saturday Night Live, Weeds). And for the first time, fans will have the opportunity to watch ads and vote for their favorites through TBSs extremely popular broadband network VeryFunnyAds.com. FUNNIEST COMMERCIALS OF THE YEAR: 2006, which will premiere Wednesday, Dec. 27, at 9 p.m. (ET/PT), is being produced by Robert Dalrymple Productions in conjunction with IMG Media. Dalrymple and Steve Mayer serve as executive producers.

With two past editions of FUNNIEST COMMERCIALS OF THE YEAR specials, a new Worlds Funniest Commercials special this past summer and the launch of our extremely popular VeryFunnyAds.com broadband network, TBS has proven itself to be the ultimate destination for some of the funniest and most entertaining advertising moments ever created, said Ken Schwab, senior vice president of programming for TBS and sister network TNT. We are proud to pay tribute once again to the abundant creativity found in television commercials by giving our viewers the perfect opportunity to enjoy and vote on the best from the past year.

FUNNIEST COMMERCIALS OF THE YEAR: 2006 will showcase the best and most humorous commercials from the United States and around the world. The show will feature over 55 spots, 10 of which can be voted on in advance on VeryFunnyAds.com. Starting Nov. 18, fans can vote for ads they feel deserve the title of Funniest Commercial of the Year. Fans can also submit their personal favorites to VeryFunnyAds.com and a segment of FUNNIEST COMMERCIALS OF THE YEAR: 2006 will spotlight some of these amusing commercials.
