NEW YORK, January 3, 2007 -- When The Naked Trucker, a free-spirited everyman, met T-Bones, a lovably cracked transient of dubious moral fiber, in a desert flare gun "accident," a legendary American friendship was born. Now this liberty-loving duo drives an 18-wheeler across the country in search of good times, friendly faces and questionable cargo. COMEDY CENTRAL brings David Koechner (T-Bones) and Dave (Gruber) Allen's (The Trucker) stage show to the small screen in the series premiere of "The Naked Trucker and T-Bones Show" on Wednesday, January 17 at 10:30 p.m.

"The Naked Trucker and T-Bones Show" is a half-hour, eight-episode comedy series that films in front of a studio audience. Encore presentations of "The Naked Trucker and T-Bones Show" will air on Wednesdays at 12:30 a.m. and Thursdays at 12:00 a.m.

The Naked Truck and T-Bones are the Lewis and Clark of the digital age. Each week they hit the stage to share assorted and sordid tales from the road, a censor-defying song or two and everything from hobo tips to accidental up-skirt video. Occasionally, viewers will get to see familiar faces from television and film in some unfamiliar places.

In the series premiere, T-Bones cons his way into becoming Trucker's music manager and while attempting to introduce Trucker to a big time music producer, he breaks into the producer's house. The failed introduction leads to Trucker's arrest and eventually a music video featuring T-Bones. Meanwhile, the guys pick-up an excited hitchhiker who believes he can outrun Trucker's 18-wheeler.

Dave (Gruber) Allen ("The Higgins Boys and Gruber," "Freaks and Geeks") and David Koechner ("Anchorman," "Thank You for Smoking") play the off-kilter pair. Allen's Trucker is the naked voice of reason both figuratively and literally while Koechner's Gerald "T-Bones" Tibbons plays Trucker's best friend, a freeloading, opportunist with a flare for trouble.

David Koechner began his career as an ensemble member of Chicago's Second City northwest, where he honed his skills and went on to spend a season on "Saturday Night Live." Later, Koechner moved to Los Angeles where he landed guest appearances on "Curb Your Enthusiasm" and "Reno 911!" He has since been seen in a variety of studio and independent films such as "Thank You for Smoking," "Daltry Calhoun," "Anchorman," "The Dukes of Hazard," "Talladega Nights" and the soon-to-be released "The Comebacks."

Dave (Gruber) Allen started doing sketch comedy in Des Moines, Iowa, with the group "Don't Quit Your Day Job." The group moved to Los Angeles and became known as "The Higgins Boys and Gruber," which found a following locally and on cable. From there, Allen went on to make guest appearances on shows such as "Frasier," "NewsRadio," "Malcolm in the Middle" and "Gilmore Girls." He is perhaps best known for his role as Jeff Rosso in "Freaks and Geeks."

comedycentral.com will feature weekly "Roadside Attractions," videos where Trucker and T-Bones deliver homespun advice from the heartland. Users will also have the opportunity to create their own CB handle with "The Naked Trucker's CB Handle Generator." Additional content will include four original digital animated shorts depicting "The Cartoon Adventures of the Amazing T-Bone" which will be available at comedycentral.com and COMEDY CENTRAL Mobile. The site will also contain hobo recipes, outtakes, extended scenes, uncut songs message boards, mobile ring tones, IM Icons, wallpapers and Trucker's weekly newsletter.

Allen and Koechner executive produce the show with Norman Hiscock ("Kids in the Hall," "King of the Hill"), Donick Cary ("The Simpsons," "The Late Show with David Letterman" and JP Williams ("Blue Collar Comedy Tour: The Movie"). Scott Landsman and Zoe Friedman also serve as executives in charge of production for COMEDY CENTRAL.
