1321 CLOVER (CBS, New!) - Paul Corrigan and Brad Walsh ("King of the Hill") have landed a pilot order from a new single-camera comedy which chronicles documentary-style the lives of a typical suburban American family. The pair wrote the pilot, which is based at CBS Paramount Network Television, on spec.

GOSSIP GIRL (The CW) - The netlet has greenlighted its small screen adaptation of Alloy Entertainment's popular book series about privileged teenagers attending elite private schools in New York as told through the eyes of an anonymous blogger. "The O.C." alums Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage penned the pilot script and will executive produce alongside Alloy's Bob Levy and Leslie Morgenstein. In addition, Schwartz has also inked a new overall deal with producer Warner Bros. Television. Financial specifics about the pact however weren't released.

NEW AMSTERDAMN (FOX) - Oscar-nominated director Lasse Hallstrom ("The Cider House Rules") has signed on to direct and executive produce the hour, about a man cursed with immortality who works as a homicide detective in New York. He'll work from a script by Allan Loeb and Christian Taylor.

UNTITLED TOM SCHULMAN/RAFAEL YGLESIAS PROJECT (HBO, New!) - Feature writers Tom Schulman ("Dead Poets Society") and Rafael Yglesias have scored a pilot commitment from the pay channel for a new drama that explores the battle against cancer from the patients' point of view. The project is based on Jerome Groopman's book "The Anatomy of Hope: How People Prevail in the Face of Illness" about the stories of seriously ill patients of Groopman who had relied on their hope to cope with their illness. Groopman and his wife, Pamela Hartzband, will serve as consultants on the show. In addition, J.J. Abrams is in talks to come aboard and executive produce as well as potentially direct the hour via his new overall deal with Warner Bros. Television.
