LOS ANGELES, -- Emmitt Smith, the NFL's all-time rushing leader will guest star on HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER, Monday, Feb. 5 (8:00-8:30 PM, ET) and Jerry Rice, regarded as one of the greatest wide receivers in NFL history, will guest star on THE CLASS, Monday, Feb. 5 (8:30-9:00 PM, ET), the night following CBS Sports' broadcast of Super Bowl XLI on the CBS Television Network.

Smith, a prolific running back in the NFL for 15 years, was a member of three Super Bowl champion teams (1993, 1994 and 1996) with the Dallas Cowboys and was regular season and Super Bowl MVP in 1993. He will play himself in the episode when a star-struck Barney recognizes the former NFL great on the street.

Rice led the San Francisco 49ers to three Super Bowl wins and was selected to the Pro Bowl 13 times. After 20 NFL seasons, Rice retired holding the NFL records in receptions, receiving yards, touchdown receptions and total touchdowns, as well as the record for most games ever played by an NFL wide receiver. He was also named Pro Bowl MVP in 1995 and Super Bowl MVP in 1988. In the episode, Duncan (Jon Bernthal) is shocked when he visits Nicole (Andrea Anders) and finds Rice and former pro-football player Yonk Allen (David Keith) working on a charity event speech together.
