"ONE TREE HILL" HEADS TO HONEY GROVE, TEXAS AS THE CW, WARNER BROS. TELEVISION AND SUNKIST ANNOUNCE CONTEST WINNERS
Winning Video Selected By The CW, Sunkist and "One Tree Hill" Executive Producers Mark Schwahn and Joe Davola
Burbank, California (February 8, 2007) ?? "One Tree Hill" is currently filming an episode on location in Honey Grove, Texas (Population: 1,746), the hometown of Crissy Blair, Hudson Milford, Hannah Milford, Gina Johnson, Heather Blair, Allison Fitzgerald, Logan Sandy and Vicky Christopher, who submitted the winning video in The CW, Warner Bros. Television and Sunkist Soda promotion.
"Ultimately, we chose Honey Grove, Texas not only because of their infectious video submission, but also because the fans there are indicative of all 'One Tree Hill' fans: passionate, clever, smart fans whose energy and enthusiasm was impossible to ignore," said Mark Schwahn, creator and executive producer of "One Tree Hill." "We were humbled by the response to the contest and are appreciative that Sunkist is helping us take the show to Honey Grove, the sweetest town in Texas."
From the video submissions sent in through www.cwtv.com, The CW, Sunkist and "One Tree Hill" creator/executive producer Mark Schwahn and executive producer Joe Davola selected the winning entry. The "One Tree Hill" fans who submitted the film will appear in the episode, which will air later this season.
This is the second consecutive year that "One Tree Hill" and Sunkist have partnered for a season-long branded entertainment partnership that gives viewers and consumers the experience of interacting with the show and the Sunkist brand like never before. The co-branded partnership will be promoted on The CW Network and online at SunkistSoda.com, as well as popular sites such as AOL and Yahoo.
