A&E NETWORKS HIT SERIES FLIP THIS HOUSE RETURNS FOR AN ALL-NEW THIRD SEASON, CONNECTICUT, ATLANTA, SAN ANTONIO PREMIERES SATURDAY, MARCH 31, 9PM EST/PST
NEW YORK, NY, MARCH 8, 2007 At A&E Network its hip to flip and viewers are hooked. Despite constant speculation that the real estate bubble may be about to burst, flipping homes is still red hot on FLIP THIS HOUSE which returns for a third season on Saturday, March 31, at 9pm ET. Were back with new casts, new headaches, and new deals, starting with a high-flying team of potential pin-up poster-boys operating out of New Haven, CT where testosterone driven rivalries abound. With one lone woman acting as both referee and cheerleader its one long rough and tumble real estate rumble.
Tackling one of the most exciting aspect of today's high-stakes real estate market the transformation of an eyesore into a profit-making beauty A&E's hour-long "docu-soap" follows the travails of three real-estate moguls in the hot housing markets of Connecticut, San Antonio and Atlanta, where each boasts a team of characters that buys homes, renovates them in record time, then flips them for a profit. It sounds simple, but sparks fly and tempers are high before the fixer-uppers sell to happy buyers.
After graduating from Yale University and playing for the NFL, Nathaniel Than Merrill decided to tackle the real estate business. A born leader, full of big ideas, Than saw money to be made flipping houses in New Haven, Connecticut. He called on his childhood friend, Paul Esajian, and together they created CT Homes. Paul is the construction expert and creative force behind all of their renovations. He persuaded his big brother, JD, to join the team as project manager. With his hands-on renovation expertise, JD knows how to motivate the construction crew and get the job done. Their latest recruit is Jeremy Black a former Abercrombie & Fitch model with a head for numbers. Jeremy is Thans right hand man in the search for good investment properties. This model turned acquisitions expert still has a lot to learn his good looks and easy smile may charm the ladies, but not Than and Paul. Laurie Parks is in charge of sales. When the going gets tough and a wrestling match wont smooth things over, she shakes up the boys club with her feminine touch and a serious reality check.
In San Antonio, Armando Montelongo heads up a family business, Montelongo House Buyers. Five years ago he rolled into town on his last tank of gas; today he is a hard-driving entrepreneur flipping 200 houses a year. When faced with a renovation disaster, Armando follows the advice of his Tai Kwon Do Master and tells himself, Yes, I can. Wife Veronica is a redheaded beauty with a quirky sense of humor and a killer sales instinct. Brother and partner David is the level-headed half, the construction expert and sometime peacekeeper between his own wife, Melina, and Armando. Melina is in charge of marketing shes young and pretty, creative and full of fiery enthusiasm.
In Atlanta, Angie Wilford left a successful career in the corporate world to try her hand in real estate. In just two years, she made it to the top of her field as a sales agent then turned her eye to investing. While she may be a flipping novice, what she lacks in experience she makes up for in hard work. This devoted wife and mom of two is taking Atlanta by storm, buying, renovating and flipping houses for a serious profit. Angies partner in business and in life is her husband Harris. Beneath his cool demeanor is a can-do spirit the perfect combination for a no-nonsense project manager. Harris side-steps the drama and focuses on getting the job done on time and under budget. Angies assistant, Danielle Anderson, is also a working mom with serious professional ambition. Shes back to work and back to school, going for her brokers license. Angie is her number one supporter and motivator shes counting on her to take on more responsibility before Angies work load gets out of control. Scott Tremmel, one of Atlantas top landscape designers does more than lay fresh sod. His first-rate designs bring Angies renovations to a new level and capture what every seller is after irresistible curb appeal.
