'Battlestar Galactica Videomaker Toolkit' Puts Fans Behind the Camera

Best Video to be Broadcast on SCI FI

New York, NY � March 6, 2007 � SCIFI.COM, the award-winning Web site of the SCI FI Channel, is putting Battlestar Galactica in the hands of its fans with the launch of the Battlestar Galactica Videomaker Toolkit (www.scifi.com/battlestar/videomaker).

This exclusive SCIFI.COM resource arms fans everything they need to create their own four-minute Galactica shorts. The Toolkit will give them access to 30+ visual effects, 20+ audio effects and even cuts from the soundtrack of the series. Once the fan-videographers complete their masterworks, they can post them back to SCIFI.COM to share with other fans. Fans can check out two hilarious demo videos on the site to get their creative juices flowing.

As an added bonus, Battlestar Galactica Executive Producer David Eick will select his favorite video, and it will be broadcast in its entirety on SCI FI Channel during an episode of Battlestar Galactica at a later date.
