Big Boogey Adventure DVD with Special Features In Stores April 3
Break-dancing monster pirates, assorted cheese jokes and time-traveling robots are just some of the stuff of which The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandys first ever two-hour Cartoon Network Studios original movie, Billy & Mandys Big Boogey Adventure, is made. When the underworld strips Grim of his powers (due to years of the kids abusing them) Billy, Mandy, Grim and Irwin must race Grims longtime nemesis, The Boogey Man, to capture The Hand of Horror, a powerful artifact capable of making the wielder the scariest being alive. Along the way (and between cheese jokes), the motley misfits must rely on teamwork, loyalty and sheer courage to beat back the forces that would defeat them. The wacky two-hour adventure premieres Friday, March 30, at 7 p.m. (ET, PT). To set the stage for a scary good time, Cartoon Network will air a marathon of The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy beginning at 4 p.m. (ET, PT) leading into the premiere of Billy & Mandys Big Boogey Adventure at 7 p.m. (ET, PT).
Stage, screen and television veteran George Segal (Just Shoot Me, Dinotopia: Quest for the Ruby Sunstone) joins series regulars Grey DeLisle (Mandy), Richard Horvitz (Billy), Greg Eagles (Grim) and Fred Willard (The Boogey Man) as the voice of Horror.
Created by Maxwell Atoms, The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy was selected by a resounding margin of more than 2 to 1 by viewers who participated in the August 2000 vote THE BIG PICK, an online and on-air election. The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy premiered as a full-fledged half-hour series on June 13, 2003 and tells the story of two young kids, happy-go-lucky Billy and cynical, deadpan Mandy, who become best friends with the Grim Reaper after winning an otherworldly limbo contest. Together, this unlikely trio deals with typical suburban challenges school, family, and engaging with unwanted visitors from the spirit world.
Billy & Mandys Big Boogey Adventure will debut on DVD from Warner Home Video and Cartoon Network on April 3 and will include special features such as the original Bully Boogie short and a behind-the-voices video.
