Last night, AMERICAN IDOL extended a unique opportunity to major corporations across the country, inviting them to be part of an historic event in television history � IDOL GIVES BACK. The two-night special airs Tuesday, April 24 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) and Wednesday, April 25 (8:00-10:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed) on FOX.
As part of its fund-raising effort, IDOL GIVES BACK is seeking corporate sponsors to partner on this special, star-studded event that will benefit children and young people in need in America and Africa. IDOL GIVES BACK invites corporations to make a donation pegged to every voting call received after the Tuesday, April 24 performance show (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT), when the Top 6 finalists will sing �life anthem� songs about compassion and hope, in keeping with the IDOL GIVES BACK theme. Previously announced sponsors include Ford, Coca-Cola and AT&T.

The special two-hour results show on Wednesday, April 25 (8:00-10:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed) will be a star-studded evening featuring world-renowned artists and celebrities, including Gwen Stefani, Annie Lennox, Josh Groban, Pink, Michael Bubl�, Il Divo and popular �Kazakhstan journalist� Borat Sagdiyev (Sacha Baron Cohen), among many others who will take the AMERICAN IDOL stage.
During the Wednesday event, adding to the corporate contributions, AMERICAN IDOL viewers will be able to make their own donations via toll-free pledge lines and the Internet.
