AMERICAS MOST WANTED SHOWS HOW THE NOSE KNOWS SATURDAY, MARCH 31, ON FOX
Broadcast to Feature Murder Solved by Scent
Detectives rely on evidence like fingerprints and DNA to take down accused killers. But on Saturday, March 31 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) in this weeks episode of FOXs groundbreaking crime-fighting show AMERICAS MOST WANTED, viewers will learn about a cold-blooded murder that was solved by an expert in tracking the scent of a killer.
The expert is Cooper, a yellow Labrador retriever specially trained in the science of scent comparison. Cooper is one of only a handful of dogs in the United States whose work is admissible in court. In the AMERICAS MOST WANTED story, correspondent Ed Miller will demonstrate for viewers how Cooper uses his unique skills, by challenging the police dog to identify him based on scent traces Miller left behind when he sat at a picnic table. Then, Miller will explain how Cooper was instrumental in the recent identification of the man who murdered armored car driver Corey Medlock during a robbery in January 2003.
Miller is available for interviews on this amazing story. AMERICAS MOST WANTED: AMERICA FIGHTS BACK, hosted by John Walsh and produced by STF Productions, Inc., airs Saturdays (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. Lance Heflin is executive producer.
