LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- Just two weeks into its return to the schedule, ABC has pulled the plug on "Six Degrees."
Scheduling updates released this afternoon confirm that repeats of "Wife Swap" will fill the Friday, 9:00/8:00c hour beginning April 6.
"Degrees" posted an invisible 1.1 adults 18-49 rating (according to preliminary Nielsen data) on Friday as ABC fell to fifth place on the night.
It's not clear if ABC plans to show the five unaired installments from its 13-episode order online.
In other ABC news, "Men in Trees" reportedly will not return to the schedule before the season is out. It's understood the network will now hold the show's five yet-to-air episodes for next season where they will be amended to its 22-episode fall order (a la "Boston Legal's" 27-episode "second" season).
Originally slated to return on Thursday, April 12 at 10:00/9:00c, "Trees" was eventually supplanted by the premiere of "Notes from the Underbelly" on said night. "October Road" will then run on April 19 and 26 with an expanded "Grey's Anatomy" due on May 3. Programming for the slot on May 10 and 17, the last two Thursdays of the May sweeps period, has yet to be announced.
But as always, upcoming schedules are subject to change.
