"THE 2007 ALMA AWARDS" RETURNS TO ABC WITH HOST AND PRODUCER EVA LONGORIA
All-Star Event Airs Tuesday, June 5
"The 2007 ALMA Awards," celebrating the hottest stars from the worlds of film, television and music, will air TUESDAY, JUNE 5 (9:00-11:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network. Television and film superstar Eva Longoria ("Desperate Housewives") will reprise her roles as host of the event as well as producer.
"It is an honor to return as host of the ALMA Awards and to also be working with NCLR to contribute creatively to the production of the show," said Longoria. "This year we are going to have an action packed telecast filled with surprises, as we celebrate the achievements of the Latino community."
The two-hour special is organized by The National Council of La Raza (NCLR) � the largest national Hispanic civil rights and advocacy organization in the U.S. The annual ALMA (American Latino Media Arts) Awards recognize and celebrate Latino artistic achievement in American film, television and music.

"With our stellar production team and support from the Latino community, we are confident that this year's telecast will be one of the most memorable television events of the year."
"The 2007 ALMA Awards" will tape on Friday, June 1 at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium. Nominees will be announced at a live press conference in April. In addition to the nominated awards, a series of special achievement honors will also be presented.
The executive producers of "The 2007 ALMA Awards" are Michael B. Seligman, Janet Murgu�a and David Chavez. Eva Longoria returns as producer, joined by director Louis J. Horvitz, co-producer/talent Danette Herman and music producer Scott Igoe.
