SCI FI CHANNEL PARTNERS WITH ATLANTIC RECORDS FOR USE OF PRIORITY MUSIC
Marketing Campaigns to Feature Label's Current and Developing Artists
New York, NY April 17, 2007 SCI FI Channel has partnered with Atlantic Records and its affiliated labels to allow the Channel's marketing campaigns to use priority tracks from its impressive roster of established and upcoming artists. The announcement was made by Adam Stotsky, Senior Vice President, Marketing, SCI FI Channel and Kevin Weaver, Senior Vice President of Atlantic Records.
Atlantic will make available a wide range of artists allowing SCI FI Channel the opportunity to bring together their original programming with the perfect artist and musical selection.
"As our original programming becomes more contemporary, Earth-based and relatable, our marketing campaigns will be targeting a younger, more mainstream audience. Our partnership with Atlantic greatly enhances this strategy," said Stotsky, in making the announcement.
"TV in general has become such a valuable form of media for exposing our music to millions of people in a very short period of time," stated Weaver. "We realize that by aligning our priority artists and key releases with the SCI FI Channel it helps to create a massive amount of meaningful impressions for our artists. We are very excited about this great new relationship."
Campaign spots will air on SCI FI Channel as well as throughout the NBC Universal networks and Web-based marketing initiatives. The spots will be chyroned with the name of the band and song title for maximum exposure for the label's developing artists. Cross-promotional opportunities through both the Channel's and Atlantic's respective online entities will be fully leveraged.
