SCI FI DEBUTS BROADBAND PILOT ON SCI FI PULSE
Online Visitors Get to Play Development Exec-for-a Day
New York, NY April 23, 2007 Craig Engler, Senior Vice President of SCIFI.COM and SCI FI Magazine, today announced an exclusive new pilot, Outer Space Astronauts, slated for debut on SCI FI Pulse, the Channel's successful broadband destination.
In an innovative new approach to development, SCI FI Pulse will give viewers an unprecedented opportunity to provide input on the proposed new series from executive producers David O. Russell, Russell Barrett, and Adam Clinton. SCI FI.com will literally engage audiences in the creative process by inviting them to share their opinions on the proposed new animated series about the outlandish adventures of an intergalactic space crew.
Visitors to SCIFI.COM will be granted exclusive online access to a series of five video vignettes, created by the show's executive producers. After watching the footage, viewers will be asked to complete a short survey on their opinions of the concept, and whether they recommend green-lighting the series for the SCI FI Channel. In addition to viewer feedback, SCI FI executives will also take traffic to the site into consideration. This first-ever online event offers audiences a chance to play television executive-for-a-day, having their voices heard in the early stages of the creative process.
