NEW YORK, May 22, 2007 -- COMEDY CENTRAL, a division of MTVN Entertainment Group, a unit of Viacom (NYSE: VIA, VIA.B), unveiled today its plans to turn New York City's Central Park into "COMEDY CENTRAL Park," a night of free stand-up comedy live from SummerStage on Friday, June 22. ComedianDave Attell will host and perform at this inaugural event, which will also feature five young and up-and-coming stand-up comedians. Snapple is the exclusive sponsor of "COMEDY CENTRAL Park."
On Friday, June 22, COMEDY CENTRAL will present "COMEDY CENTRAL Park," a free night of stand-up comedy live from Central Park's SummerStage. Hosting the event will be comedian Dave Attell. "COMEDY CENTRAL Park" will also feature performances from some of the hottest up-and-coming comedians -- Ted Alexandro, Joe DeRosa, Kurt Metzger, John Mulaney and Amy Schumer.
For those not able to attend "COMEDY CENTRAL Park," comedycentral.com will tape the stand-up performances of Alexandro, DeRosa, Metzger, Mulaney and Schumer and their videos will be posted on the site on July 6.
