BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., July 12 -- The second season of
Lifetime's popular reality series "Lisa Williams: Life Among the Dead" will
premiere on Friday, October 12 at 9:00 PM (ET/PT) as part of Lifetime's new
primetime Friday night reality programming block, it was announced today at
Lifetime's TCA Press Tour by Susanne Daniels, President, Entertainment,
Lifetime Networks. The second season premiere will lead into the series
premiere of the new reality competition show "America's Psychic Challenge,"
immediately following at 10:00 PM (ET/PT).
"The response we received from viewers about Lisa and the show in the
first season was overwhelming. Her appearances on 'Oprah' and 'The Today
Show' are a testament her popularity and people's fascination with psychic
mediums," said Daniels. Adding, "This season we have some amazingly
heartfelt stories and some of Lisa's readings are truly jaw-dropping."
"Lisa Williams: Life Among the Dead" explores Williams' abilities to
see and speak with the dead and in some cases possibly transform the lives
of the people she meets who are seeking to connect with their dearly
departed. Throughout the series, Williams shares stories of people wanting
to be reunited with someone who has died, while offering personal
observations and insights. In each episode cameras follow a typical day in
the life of the young clairvoyant which includes among other things, Lisa
giving readings to scheduled clients and occasionally people she randomly
meets while about town.
This season, some of Williams' readings include: Bethie and Sandi,
sisters whose mother was murdered by her boyfriend; Ann, an adopted woman
who visits Lisa to connect with her birthmother, yet during the reading
unexpectedly finds out information about her father; and Evelyn, a mother
looking for answers about the death of her son. Also new, Lisa gives
readings to celebrities, including Dayna Devon, the host of the
entertainment magazine show "Extra," who is seeking to connect with a close
friend who has passed away in the hopes of uncovering details of his
unexpected death.
