Malibu Band Whitestarr Enjoys 'The Rock Life' on Their Way to the Top of the Charts
New VH1 Series, 'The Rock Life' Chronicles The Band As They Live The Rock
And Roll Dream Premiering Monday, August 6 At 10:30 PM* With Back-To-Back
Episodes
First Two Episodes Available on VSPOT at VH1.com Beginning Monday, July 30
-- One Week Prior To On-Air Debut
LOS ANGELES, July 13 -- Malibu, California. It's 27 miles
of the most exclusive coastline in the country. It's also home to the
rowdiest rock band you've never heard of -- WHITESTARR. They're a mixture
of rock royalty and wide-eyed party animals ... five guys on a mission to
live the rock n' roll dream and prevent adulthood from happening by any
means possible.
"The Rock Life" premiering Monday, August 6 at 10:30PM* with
back-to-back episodes will follow Whitestarr as they balance gigs,
groupies, girlfriends and massive band drama. Cameras will also join
Whitestarr as they face the highs and lows that accompany being part of an
up-and-coming rock band dealing with the creative and personal challenges
of recording and releasing an album. Beginning July 30, one week before the
series' broadcast debut, the first two episodes will be available for
on-demand viewing on VSPOT at VH1.com.
Whitestarr is Cisco Adler (vocals), Rainbow Jeramy (guitar), Alex
Orbison (drums), Damon Webb (bass) and Tony Potato (dancer). Led by
singer/songwriter Cisco Adler, son of music mogul Lou Adler, Whitestarr has
become a staple in the L.A. music scene but they've been virtually ignored
by the industry they hope to conquer. They've been in rehab, in the
tabloids and in relationships with some of Hollywood's hottest starlets,
including Mischa Barton. The only place they haven't been is the Billboard
charts. But with Roy Orbison's son on drums, So-Cal rocker Damon Webb on
bass and a fleshy, undersexed former lawyer named Tony Potato as backup
dancer, Whitestarr is a rock and roll circus that's as much fun off-stage
as they are on. Throw in an afro'd guitarist from Allentown, PA, named
Rainbow, with major girlfriend drama and you've all the ingredients for the
ultimate rock and roll cocktail.
From the sweet crash pad they share in Malibu, Whitestarr are living
the rock life and turning every day into an adventure. A local gig finds
Slash and Tommy Lee in the audience, "a few drinks" turns into a few
oddly-placed tattoos, a fight with a girlfriend is front-page news and out
of control egos threaten a performance at a Playboy event.
Viewers will get an insider's look at the backstage drama as these four
rockers (and one dancer) fight to keep the band together and stop at
nothing to realize their rock dream -- even if it means losing sleep,
losing a girlfriend or losing a day job. It's going to be an uphill battle,
and the band knows it's going to take more than a famous name to get there.

Whitestarr is set to release their second full-length studio album,
Fillith Tillith, produced by Marti Frederiksen (Aerosmith, Sheryl Crow,
Pink, and Faith Hill) on August 28th on new label VH1 Classic Records.
"The Rock Life" is executive produced by George Verschoor (Jamie
Kennedy's "Blowin' Up," "Nashville Star") and David Osper (MTV's
"Homewrecker"), and produced by Verschoor's Hoosick Falls Productions. Jeff
Olde, Damla Dogan, Jill Holmes, Alex Demyanenko and Michael Hirschorn are
