Beverly Hills, CA�July 15, 2007�SCI FI will partner with Lionsgate (NYSE: LGF), and AfterDark Films to broadcast, co-brand and promote AfterDark's Horrorfest - 8 Films to Die For, Thomas P. Vitale, the Channel's Senior Vice President of Programming and Original Movies, announced today. Horrorfest, a spine-tingling collection of theatrical horror flicks AfterDark released last year over one weekend, creating a unique event for horror fans across the nation. Horrorfest will broadcast in October during the Channel's annual 13 Days of Halloween programming block, leading up to SCI FI's second annual, six-hour, Ghost Hunters Live special on Halloween night.

In this new collaboration, SCI FI serves as the first window broadcast television partner for the Horrorfest franchise, acquiring the rights to the existing roster of theatrical features, and for next year's titles as well. These films are slated to make their broadcast debut on SCI FI during the Channel's 13 Days of Halloween. The featured films will include Reincarnation, a suspenseful, psychological horror flick from the director of The Grudge films (Takashi Shimizu); Dark Ride starring Jamie-Lynn Sigler (The Sopranos) and Penny Dreadful starring Rachel Miner (Cult), Mimi Rogers (Someone to Watch Over Me) and Michael Berryman (The Hills Have Eyes), among others.

"SCI FI's full range of exclusive genre fare includes everything from creative reimaginings of sci-fi classics and contemporary Earth-based tales of the paranormal, to action thrillers and surreal supernatural reality shows," said SCI FI's Vitale, Senior Vice. "Our acquisition of the Horrorfest - 8 Films to Die For theatricals further broadens our scope of exhilarating, high quality programming that resonates with thrill-seeking audiences."

Additionally, SCI FI will serve as a promotional partner, supporting the theatrical roll-out of 2007's new Horrorfest features� 8 More Films To Die For, slated to premiere November 9-12, in major cities across the country (including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, Seattle, Miami and Las Vegas). "We had a fantastic response from the fans last year, and this we are honing the event to make it bigger and better," said AfterDark partner Courtney Solomon. The 2007 After Dark Horrorfest theatrical releases will make their exclusive television debut on SCI FI in 2008.

The Horrorfest boxed set sold over a million units in its April 2007 DVD release by Lionsgate's home entertainment division.
