106 & PARK Revamps in Time for Hosts' First Anniversary
Terrence and Rocsi Celebrate One Year at the Helm of the Number One Music
Countdown Show on Television and Welcome in a Brand New Set
NEW YORK, July 16 -- BET's energetic VJ's, Terrence and
Rocsi, surpassed rookie status on July 10, 2007 to mark their one year
anniversary as hosts of the wildly popular show, 106 & PARK. In between
memorable moments like Rocsi's back bending lesson from Beyonce and Janet
Jackson hand feeding Terrence strawberries, the two successfully bring
viewers the livest countdown show on the planet five days a week. Chosen
from a pool of over 15,000 applicants, Terrence and Rocsi joined the BET
family as two of five winners during the networks nationwide "New Faces"
Search in 2006. With 252 episodes in the can, the addition of new and
exciting show elements, and trips to Los Angeles, New Orleans and even
Japan; the duo has taken the leading music countdown series to the next
level and will continue to do so in the coming season. Tune in on Monday,
July 16th @ 6:00 p.m. ET/PT as the network celebrates this milestone and
unveils a newly designed high-tech studio.
The new wireless studio comes fully equipped with a 16X9 multi-image
video wall, computer base, three new talent entrances, a dynamic stage and
much more. Designed with flexibility, the modular set will allow maximum
variation while providing a high level of interaction--bringing fans near
and far closer to the 106 & PARK experience.
Making its network premiere in 2000, 106 & PARK is the leading music
video countdown show on television. Live from New York City, the most
energetic show on the planet welcomes a live studio audience, exciting show
elements and superstar guests five days a week. The biggest names in the
music and entertainment industry such as Jamie Foxx, Halle Berry, Jay-Z,
Janet Jackson, 50 Cent, Snoop Dogg, Beyonce, Mariah Carey, Tom Cruise,
Queen Latifah, Bruce Willis and Diddy have all stopped by THE PARK. Under
the BET DIGITAL MEDIA GROUP, 106 & PARK also launched the first mobile fan
club of its kind available through all domestic carriers. Premiering this
fall, 106 & PARK, hosted by Rocsi and Terrence will go global with a
one-hour branded block on MTV Japan airing a weekly "best of" 106 & PARK
