HBO received 86 Primetime Emmy� nominations, the most of any network for the seventh year in a row, for the upcoming 59th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards�, which were announced today in Los Angeles.

Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee led all nominees with 17 nominations, while The Sopranos led all series with 15 nominations. In addition, Entourage and Rome received 7 nominations each, and Deadwood and When the Levees Broke: A Requiem in Four Acts received 6 nominations each.

HBO's Emmy� nominations this year include:

- 17 nominations overall for Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee, including Outstanding Made for Television Movie, 2 for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Miniseries or a Movie (Aidan Quinn, August Schellenberg), Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Miniseries or a Movie (Anna Paquin), Outstanding Directing for a Miniseries, Movie or a Dramatic Special (Yves Simoneau), and Outstanding Writing for a Miniseries, Movie or a Dramatic Special (Daniel Giat).

- 15 nominations overall for The Sopranos, including Outstanding Drama Series, Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series (James Gandolfini), Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series (Edie Falco), Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series (Michael Imperioli), 2 for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series (Lorraine Bracco, Aida Turturro), Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series (Tim Daly), Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series (Alan Taylor), and 3 for Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series (Matthew Weiner and David Chase; Terrence Winter; and David Chase).

- 7 nominations overall for Entourage, including Outstanding Comedy Series, 2 for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series (Kevin Dillon, Jeremy Piven), Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series (Martin Landau), and Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series (Julian Farino).

- 7 nominations overall for Rome.

- 6 nominations overall for Deadwood.

- 6 nominations overall for When the Levees Broke: A Requiem in Four Acts, including Exceptional Merit in Nonfiction Filmmaking and Outstanding Directing for Nonfiction Programming (Spike Lee).

- 5 nominations overall for Longford, including Outstanding Made for Television Movie, Outstanding Lead Actor in a Miniseries or a Movie (Jim Broadbent), and Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Miniseries or a Movie (Samantha Morton).

- 4 nominations overall for Extras, including Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series (Ricky Gervais), Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series (Ian McKellen), Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series (Ricky Gervais, Stephen Merchant), and Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series (Ricky Gervais, Stephen Merchant).

- 4 nominations overall for Ghosts of Abu Ghraib, including Outstanding Nonfiction Special and Outstanding Directing for Nonfiction Programming (Rory Kennedy).

- 3 nominations overall for Tsunami, the Aftermath, including Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Miniseries or a Movie (Toni Collette) and Outstanding Directing for a Miniseries, Movie or a Dramatic Special (Bharat Nalluri).

- 2 nominations overall for Lewis Black: Red, White & Screwed, including Outstanding Variety, Music or Comedy Special.

- 2 nominations overall for Real Time with Bill Maher, including Outstanding Variety, Music or Comedy Series and Outstanding Writing for a Variety, Music or Comedy Program.
